3. Professor of social and epidemiological alcohol and drug research, Stockholm University
The Centre for Social Research on Alcohol and Drugs (SoRAD) studies the relationships between alcohol and drug consumption patterns and related consequences. The successful applicant is expected to take a leading role in research within the area of consumption patterns, problems and norms. The research must be well anchored in social science theories and the results from the epidemiological studies shall be integrated with research illuminating norms and attitudes to alcohol and drugs as well as their meanings in people’s lives. The job includes initiation and development of new research projects, project leading, supervision of doctoral students and some teaching. The applicant must have demonstrated scientific excellence in social alcohol and drug research with a specialisation in epidemiology, as well as pedagogical skills and excellence in teaching.
