5. Epidemiologist to work on field epi training for WHO in Papua New Guinea

The job purpose is to develop training materials for building capacity in surveillance, response and risk assessment, incorporating materials from the Region as well as local materials such as the Public Health Manual for PNG. Tasks include conducting training for provincial & districting health authorities in: disease surveillance, outbreak control, risk assessment. Furthermore the post should provide technical assistance to health authorities in the organization and implementation of public health surveillance activities, and to undertake other tasks identified by the CSR team leader or WR.

Candidates should have previous experience in surveillance & response in developing countries, and preferably have advanced training in field epidemiology and experience in conducting field epidemiology training.
