5. Senior Expert for Surveillance of Antimicrobial Consumption/Surveillance Unit, ECDC, Stockholm, Sweden

ECDC is looking for somebody to perform the following tasks among others: To coordinate ECDC’s activities on surveillance of antimicrobial consumption in humans, to plan, coordinate and conduct the implementation at ECDC of the surveillance activities on antimicrobial consumption currently carried out by the European Surveillance of Antimicrobial Consumption (ESAC), to assist Member States in strengthening the national surveillance of antimicrobial consumption in humans, to provide input regarding antimicrobial consumption to ECDC-funded projects, etc.
Next to ECDC’s formal requirements, candidates should at least 5 years of professional experience in positions related to antimicrobial consumption, proven technical experience in or knowledge of methods to analyse data on antimicrobial consumption as well as in communicating the results of these analyses to authorities, to the scientific community as well as to a wider audience, familiarity with activities within the EU with regards to the occurrence and spread of antimicrobial resistsance and the relation between antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial consumption, etc.
