Tasks of the job include assisting with planning and conducting descriptive epidemiological investigation of outbreaks of infectious diseases (including case finding, case questioning, and environmental investigation), assisting with planning and conducting case control and cohort studies for epidemiological analytical investigations of outbreaks, designing, implementing and evaluating disease surveillance, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data by using statistical software and prepares reports.
Candidates should have completed a Master's degree in Public Health (a concentration in epidemiology is preferred) or in a closely related field AND at least one year of experience performing field epidemiologic work or work in a closely related field, a medical degree OR technical expert in veterinary medicine is an asset.
