The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) engages the services of many public health professional employees for service abroad, including Francophone countries. Fluency in French and English is necessary. Since the public health professionals will need to work with local and U.S. counterparts, and will need to apply for the jobs to U.S. staff, fluency in both French and English is necessary. BASIC SALARY: $69,950 to $111,467 per year -- Final compensation will be based on individual salary history, work experience, and educational background. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: United States citizens, U.S. permanent residents, and third country nationals are eligible for this position. Citizens and permanent residents of the host country are not eligible under this solicitation. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Incumbent serves in a professional supervisory position involving oversight and direction of management and program with a primary focus on: developing, strengthening and coordinating national SI capacity among PEPFAR-funded partner organizations through formulation and implementation of sound SI policies to facilitate optimal data collection, cleaning, storage, analysis, and management; developing and implementing training activities for appropriate staff of Cote d'Ivoire ministries to strengthen knowledge and skills in operations and management of large data systems; developing monitoring and evaluation capabilities; and overseeing the development of health information systems that are responsive to requests for programmatic evaluation and reporting. Incumbent provides expert scientific and technical strategic information support to the mission of the PEPFAR Executive Team, the PEPFAR CDC Country Office and USG partners.
